Here is a selection of local and national beer festivals, with maybe a few interesting ones from other regions. Don't forget to also check our diary of social events.
Fri 30th Sept - Sat 1st Oct 2011 Solihull CAMRA Beer Festival
The Royal British Legion, Union Road, Solihull Town centre (within easy walk of rail station and buses). 35+ beers, cider and perry. Homebrew competition (Sat lunchtime); live band (Sat evening). Open: Fri 5.30-11.00pm; Sat 12 - 11.00pm. Admission at door each session £10 per head (no under 18s)includes beer tokens (includes reduced entry fee for card-carrying CAMRA members). Hot food all sessions. Beer of the Festival voting throughout; unwanted beer tokens refunded or go to this years charity Air Ambulance.

Second City Suite, 100 Sherlock St. 230+ beers and 40+ ciders/perries. Improved food included hot and cold English and Indian. Plenty of seating with quiet bars downstairs, entertainment upstairs. Open 11:00 - 23:00 each day. See website for details of entertainment, entry cost and tokens.

Dudley Concert Hall (aka Dudley Town Hall), St James's Road, Dudley. Thurs 5:30-23:00, Fri/Sat 12:00-23:00. 70+ Ales. Cider, wine and bottled beers. Hot and cold food available plus entertainment.

Getting there: Post code M40 8EA. Fri 3rd - 4th Feb 2012 Redditch Winter Ale Festival
Venue: The Rocklands Club, 59 Birchfield Road, Redditch Opening hours: Friday 5-11pm, Saturday 11am-11pm. Entry: £4 (discount for card-carrying CAMRA members) Entrance includes glass and programme. 33 real ales plus cider and perry. Hot food. Separate bar with range of drinks. Festival charity: Primrose Hospice.

200+ real ales inc winter beer styles; barley wines stouts, strong milds etc. Souvenier glasses, t-shirts, and programmes. Hot and cold food available all sessions. See website for full details. Roundhouse, Roundhouse Rd, Pride Park Derby.
